After graduating from University with her bachelor’s degree in 2006 she felt compelled to help the City of New Orleans recover from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. She used her skills to become a high school mathematics teacher for an urban recovery district. After a few years teaching, Ann enrolled in the University of New Orleans and earned her Master’s in Accounting. She worked in a small boutique public accounting firm handling clients from various industries – audit, tax preparation, write up, reviews, State and Federal tax audits. Ann pursued and qualified for her Certified Public Accountant license in 2013. She then became the Financial Controller for a regional manufacturing plant and worked to cut costs and elevate their market share. In 2018 Ann joined a global private equity company where she used her accounting and tax skills to oversee all financial matters for their Louisiana Schools.
